Olive Oil Castile Soap
A traditional recipe from Castile, Spain, this makes a beautiful and very mild soap.
Characteristics
1. Off-white in color
2. Exceptionally mild
3. Lathers quickly; plenty of medi-um-size, creamy bubbles
4. Tradings difficult to see
5. Sets up quickly and dries quickly
6. May be milled and remelted when moist or dry

Ingredients
1. 52 ounces olive oil
2. 7 ounces lye
3. 20 ounces cold water
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR OLIVE OIL CASTILE SOAP
This soap is made by following Steps 1 through 17 of the master instructions, but because the recipe includes only liquid oils, the wrapped primary mold must be checked twice a day.
To do this, care-fully unwrap the mold and uncover the soap. You are likely to notice a thin layer of oil on top. Using your wooden spoon, carefully stir this layer of oil back into the soap, then replace the lid and rewrap the mold-Repeat this process once every 12 hours
