Tea and General Rule for Quantity Per Cup of Water

There is a good general rule for quantity per cup of water in preparing these infusions. For strong herbs, allow:
1/2 to 1 tablespoon fresh material
1/4to1/2 teaspoon dried material

 For mild herbs, allow:
Twice the above amounts 
Never use a metal pot. Steep for 3 to 10 minutes in water brought to a rolling boil before straining and serving.

Serve with: (Honey or lemon)
Habitues say "never use cream."

Try one of the following dried herbs, allowing for each cup:
1 star anise cluster
6 camomile flowers
1/8 teaspoon powdered mint
1/4 teaspoon powdered fennel
1/2 teaspoon linden blossom
1/2 teaspoon verbena
Steep for 5 minutes before serving.
