Types of Arthritis
1. Wind Bi
The pain in the joints is widespread and moves from one area of the body to another. There is often accompanying fever and chills, a rapid pulse and yellow coating to the tongue.
2. Damp Bi
The joints are swollen, stiff and aching, aggravated by contact with water and wet weather. There is a general feeling of heaviness and a greasy coating to the tongue.
3. Cold Bi
The joints are cold to the touch and are definitely improved with heat. The pains are severe, sharp and biting. The tongue coating is thin and white, the pulse wiry and tight.
4. Heat Bi
The joints are red, hot, swollen and sensitive to the touch. The mouth is dry, the urine dark. The tongue coating is yellow, the pulse rapid.
