Finishing
Cut 2 pieces of plastic canvas 71/2" xl" (19x2.5 cm). Cut 2 felt panels as shown in lining pattern. Press felt along 2 fold lines to form panels. Attach snap to felt panels and fold panels around plastic canvas. Set aside. Separate the feathers and place on right side of knitted pieces at top edge of Bag and stitch securely.

Pin the pressed lining opening across the feathers and knitted panels and, with perle cotton, sew a 1/8" (3 mm) running stitch across the front of each panel (encasing tops of feathers). Sew side seams of linings together. Sew knitted panels together. Weave in ends.

Handle
Cut a 171/2 "(44.5 cm) length of tubing. Cut a 1" x 171/2" (2.5 x 44.5 cm) piece of felt. Wrap felt around tubing and, with perle cotton, blanket stitch along length. Place Handle inside top of Bag with blanket stitches facing inward. Sew Handle in place with perle cotton, going through all layers.
