Best time of day to take medication
It's best to take twice-daily medications with breakfast and your evening meal. Repaglinide (Prandin), nateglinide (Starlix), acarbose (Precose), and miglitol (Glyset) should generally be taken three times daily with meals.
Metformin should be taken with meals, whether taken two or three times daily for the immediate-release form, or once daily with your evening meal for the extended-release form.
