Baby Legwarmers Knit

Baby legwarmers knit up easy and look fantastic when made in the new floral shades of Bernat Baby Jacquards.

To fit baby’s leg size
3/6 (12) months.

Materials
Bernat® Baby Jacquards Florals (100 g/3.5 oz): 1 (1) ball
#06332 (Petunia)

Set of four sizes 3.5 mm (U.S. 4) and 4 mm (U.S. 6) double-pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge
23 sts and 30 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st with larger needles.

Instructions
The instructions are written for smaller size. If changes are necessary for larger size the instructions will be written thus.

With smaller double-pointed needles, cast on 44 (56) sts. Divide sts evenly onto 3 needles. Join in rnd, placing marker on first st to mark beg of rnd.

1st rnd: *K2. P2. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd of (K2. P2) ribbing for 1¼ (1½) ins [3 (4) cm].
Change to larger needles and knit in rnds until work from beg measures 4½ (4¾) ins [11.5 (12) cm].

Next rnd: *K9 (6). K2tog. Rep from * around. 40 (49) sts.
Knit in rnds until work from beg measures 5 (5½) ins [12.5 (14) cm].

Next rnd: *K6 (5). K2tog. Rep from * around. 35 (42) sts.
Knit even in rnds until work from beg measures 6 (6½) ins [15 (16.5) cm].

Next rnd: *K9 (5). K2tog. Rep from * to last 2 (0) sts. K2 (0). 32 (36) sts.
Next rnd: *K2. P2. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd of (K2. P2) ribbing for 1¼ (1½ ) ins [3 (4) cm]. Cast off in rib loosely.
