Treating the Aging skin
Today the baby boomers wants to hide the effects of aging and they try differents treatments and skin care programs in order to achieve more youthful and healtier appearances.
The greatest boom to aging treatment began with introduction of retinoic acid by Albert M.Kligman MD. PhD, in 1986. Since then, the vitamin A has exploaded and many new compounds have been developed to treat the problem skin.
The recommendation for the aging skin improvement start with a 0.3% solution in the nighttime on the clean skin. The cleanser prefferable should be an oil-based, which leaves a nice microthin lipid layer that help the penetration of vitamin A preparation.
Add vitamin C topically-it is antioxidant and collagen booster. Ofcours, vitamins D and E should be included. One reason that vitamin A is so important in aging process and health because it is rapidly depleted by UVA and UVB rays, even when you are indoors under fluorescent lightening, will have quite a lot of vitamin A destroyed.
