Setting techniques

1.With your left hand, hold a section of hair. Hold the brush in your right hand, position the hair on top of the brush.

2.Hold the blow-dryer with your left hand and blow the hair in the direction you want it styled, for example, downwards for under.

Use of Rollers and Curling Iron

Rollers: To set a section of hair: Hold the hair with your left hand. With your right hand, position a roller beneath that hair. For proper positioning, carefully place the roller at the end of the strands and roll it gently towards the roots. Place a T-pin through the interior of the roller and stick it into the Styrofoam head.

Curling Iron: A curling iron is similar to a roller; use an iron that has the same size barrel as the rollers you usually use. Work in sections. Clamp the section inside the iron and roll it, using the same motion that you use for rollers. Make sure that the iron doesn't remain in one spot for too long.

Pin-curls
Pin-curl clips can hold styles even after the set is done. To use pin-curl clips, form a section of hair into an exaggerated curl, forming a large C.
Tuck the ends underneath the loop and pin in place with a pin-curl clip.
